01The orthopedics clinic day: before and after
Without one system, a orthopedics clinic typically keeps musculoskeletal examination on paper, appointments in a separate register, and billing apart from the patient record — so reception, the doctor and billing are each working from a different source for the same visit. On Yuktii, one visit record carries the reception queue, musculoskeletal examination and imaging (x-ray / mri) on record, prescriptions and GST billing together, so nothing has to be re-entered or reconciled by hand between the front desk and the orthopedics doctor.
02Start with Patient Records
Most Orthopedics clinics begin with Patient Records and Musculoskeletal Examination, then add Imaging (X-ray / MRI) on record and Procedures (injection / cast / aspiration) once the team is comfortable. Appointments, prescriptions, GST billing and follow-up run on the same patient record throughout. For the full orthopedics examination, documentation and patient journey, see Yuktii for orthopedics.
03What the Orthopedics examination records
The structured musculoskeletal examination has 8 sections: Affected Region, Inspection, Palpation, Range of Motion, Strength & Stability, Neurovascular, Gait and Special Tests & Imaging. Findings are picked from lists or typed in, and are saved on the visit record. Some sections record specific fields, for example affected region (joint / region, side and duration), range of motion (rom, active and passive) and strength & stability (power (mrc 0–5) and stability).
04What is ready when you enable Orthopedics
When a clinic enables orthopedics in Yuktii, the app creates a structured musculoskeletal examination module, 81 quick-pick presets for complaints, examination findings and diagnoses, 8 prescription templates, 20 medicines, 4 consent forms and 10 procedure templates. All of it is editable, so you can rename, remove or add to it to match how your clinic works. The presets speed up documentation; the clinician decides what is recorded and prescribed.
05Examples from the Orthopedics presets
Complaints you can pick from include Joint pain, Back pain, Neck pain, Knee pain, Shoulder pain and Fracture / injury. Examination findings include Joint swelling, Joint tenderness, Reduced range of motion, Deformity noted and Bruising. Diagnosis labels include Sprain, Fracture, Osteoarthritis, Frozen shoulder and Ligament tear. These are starting labels to speed up note-taking, not clinical advice.
06Orthopedics prescription templates
The starter templates are Acute Joint Pain, Low Back Pain, Osteoarthritis Knee, Post-Fracture Pain, Cervical Spondylosis, Muscle Strain, Osteoporosis and Neuropathic Limb Pain. Each is a pre-filled list the doctor edits before issuing, and the finished prescription can be downloaded as a PDF or sent on WhatsApp.
07Try it on real Orthopedics patients
The first 20 patients are free with the full Orthopedics workflow and no credit card, so you can run a genuine week of clinic before deciding. Solo then starts from ₹799/month and Pro from ₹1,499/month, depending on your specialty.
08Region, side and duration
The musculoskeletal examination starts with the joint or region, the side (right, left, bilateral, midline) and how long the problem has been present.
09Inspection to range of motion
Inspection, palpation and range of motion each have options, including active and passive motion and a painful arc. Strength is recorded on the MRC 0 to 5 scale and stability findings such as anterior or posterior laxity.
10Neurovascular status and imaging review
Sensation, distal pulses and capillary refill are recorded, with a gait section and a field for special tests and imaging review, so the finding that led to an X-ray and its result are on the same record.
11A musculoskeletal examination
A structured musculoskeletal examination records findings consistently, so an examination at the first visit and at review are described in comparable terms.
12X-ray and MRI on the record
Imaging is stored against the patient and the visit, so the next review compares like with like.
13Injection, cast and aspiration procedures
Procedure records for joint injections, cast application and aspiration are kept with consent forms, on the same visit as the note and the bill.
14A clean handoff into physiotherapy
A physiotherapy referral is made from the record and follow-ups are staged, so rehabilitation and review are not separate conversations.
15What Yuktii does not do
It is built for outpatient practice: it does not run inpatient wards or operation theatres. Test the exact workflow you depend on in the free plan before committing; the first 20 patients are free with the full platform.
