ABHA: the patient's health ID
An ABHA number is a health ID a patient can create and attach to their records. A clinic system can help create it at registration and use it to link that patient's visits.
ABDM explained
ABDM is India's national digital health programme. For a clinic it comes down to three things: patients can carry an ABHA health ID, records can be shared between providers with the patient's consent, and your software has to support both. Here is what that involves and what to ask a vendor.

The problem
Vendors use ABDM as a badge. A clinic owner is left unsure what it actually requires, whether it is mandatory for a small practice, and how to tell ready software from a claim on a brochure.
How Clinov solves it
ABDM support, including ABHA linking, is in development and coming soon. It is not approved or available yet, and Yuktii does not claim ABDM certification. Meanwhile each patient has one structured record, and consent capture, access control and audit logs are already built in.

Under ABDM, health information moves between providers only with the patient's consent. Your software should record that consent and make it easy to revoke, not treat sharing as automatic.
Adoption is voluntary for most private clinics today, but it is where public programmes and insurers are heading. Choosing software with a clear ABDM roadmap now avoids a data migration later.
The National Health Authority publishes a live public dashboard of ABHA numbers created and facilities registered nationally. Figures change daily, so this guide does not quote a number that would go stale — see the dashboard itself for the current count.
Ask which ABDM steps are live (ABHA creation, record linking, consent-based sharing), whether that is in production or only tested, and how patient data is encrypted and audited. A clear answer beats a badge.
Clinic or hospital software that can connect to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission: creating and verifying ABHA health IDs, linking a patient's records to it and sharing records with consent.
Not yet. ABDM support, including ABHA linking, is coming soon. Contact the team if ABDM is a requirement for your rollout.
ABHA is the Ayushman Bharat Health Account number — a health ID a patient can use to link their medical records across providers.
For most private clinics it is optional today. Being ready makes it easy to adopt when you want or need to.
Your data
Clinic and patient data is the clinic’s own. A clinic admin can download all of it whenever needed as one Excel workbook, with a sheet each for patients, appointments, treatments, prescriptions, billing, payments, inventory and staff.
Send us your existing records as an Excel or CSV file. Our team maps the columns, checks every row for problems and imports your patients, appointments, treatments, prescriptions, invoices and payments after review. An import can be rolled back if something is wrong. Talk to us about switching.
Download the overview, today’s snapshot, revenue, expenses, patients, doctors, treatments, medicines, lab cases, stock and doctor commission as PDF reports. The analytics cover clinical, revenue, patient, doctor, inventory and operations views for any period you choose, with AI insights on top.
How it works
Create your clinic and pick your specialty in the setup wizard. No card needed.
Edit the presets, procedure templates, consent forms and prescription templates, and add your letterhead and hours.
Most clinics are live in under 10 minutes, with appointments, records and billing already connected.
