01The general medicine clinic day: before and after
Without one system, a general medicine clinic typically keeps vitals on paper, appointments in a separate register, and billing apart from the patient record — so reception, the doctor and billing are each working from a different source for the same visit. On Yuktii, one visit record carries the reception queue, vitals and complaint & history presets, prescriptions and GST billing together, so nothing has to be re-entered or reconciled by hand between the front desk and the general medicine doctor.
02Start with Patient Records
Most General Medicine clinics begin with Patient Records and Vitals, then add Complaint & History Presets and Clinical Documentation once the team is comfortable. Appointments, prescriptions, GST billing and follow-up run on the same patient record throughout. For the full general medicine examination, documentation and patient journey, see Yuktii for general medicine.
03What the General Medicine examination records
The structured general medical examination has 11 sections: General Examination, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Abdomen, Nervous System, HEENT, Musculoskeletal, Peripheral / Vascular, Diabetes / Endocrine, Renal / Genitourinary and Other Systems / Notes. Findings are picked from lists or typed in, and are saved on the visit record. Some sections record specific fields, for example general examination (general appearance, signs and sensorium), cardiovascular (pulse and bp) and respiratory (effort and auscultation).
04What is ready when you enable General Medicine
When a clinic enables general medicine in Yuktii, the app creates a structured general medical examination module, 122 quick-pick presets for complaints, examination findings and diagnoses, 8 prescription templates, 22 medicines and 15 consent forms. All of it is editable, so you can rename, remove or add to it to match how your clinic works. The presets speed up documentation; the clinician decides what is recorded and prescribed.
05Examples from the General Medicine presets
Complaints you can pick from include Fever, Cough, Cold, Body ache, Headache and Fatigue. Examination findings include Throat congestion, Chest clear on auscultation, Wheeze present, Abdominal tenderness and Pallor noted. Diagnosis labels include Viral fever, Upper respiratory tract infection, Gastroenteritis, Hypertension and Type 2 diabetes mellitus. These are starting labels to speed up note-taking, not clinical advice.
06General Medicine prescription templates
The starter templates are Viral Fever, Hypertension Stage 1, Type 2 Diabetes — Initial, Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, Acid Reflux / Gastritis, Dyslipidemia, Hypothyroidism and Acute Gastroenteritis. Each is a pre-filled list the doctor edits before issuing, and the finished prescription can be downloaded as a PDF or sent on WhatsApp.
07Try it on real General Medicine patients
The first 20 patients are free with the full General Medicine workflow and no credit card, so you can run a genuine week of clinic before deciding. Solo then starts from ₹799/month and Pro from ₹1,499/month, depending on your specialty.
08A full systems examination
The examination covers general appearance, cardiovascular, respiratory, abdomen, nervous system, HEENT, musculoskeletal, peripheral or vascular, diabetes or endocrine, and renal or genitourinary systems, with a notes section for anything else.
09Chronic follow-up on the same record
General findings, pulse, blood pressure and glucose readings sit on the visit record. Recalls and a recall list help follow up hypertension, diabetes and other long-term patients.
10A consultation screen built for speed
Tap-to-add presets for common complaints, findings, diagnoses and advice sit on the consultation screen, and vitals are recorded on the same record, so a routine visit is documented by tapping and editing what differs rather than typing from scratch.
11Prescriptions from templates
Reusable prescription templates cover the handful of regimens a physician writes every day. Adjust the dose or duration for the patient and share the patient-ready PDF, for example over WhatsApp.
12Investigations that stay with the visit
Advise a test from the consultation and file the report against the same patient record, so the next visit opens with the result beside the complaint that prompted it.
13Follow-up and recall for chronic patients
Reviews for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and thyroid disease are scheduled from the visit and appear as a recall list for reception, with WhatsApp reminders.
14What Yuktii does not do
It is built for outpatient practice: it does not run inpatient wards or operation theatres. Test the exact workflow you depend on in the free plan before committing; the first 20 patients are free with the full platform.
