01The geriatrics clinic day: before and after
Without one system, a geriatrics clinic typically keeps multi-morbidity problem list on paper, appointments in a separate register, and billing apart from the patient record — so reception, the doctor and billing are each working from a different source for the same visit. On Yuktii, one visit record carries the reception queue, multi-morbidity problem list and medication review, prescriptions and GST billing together, so nothing has to be re-entered or reconciled by hand between the front desk and the geriatrics doctor.
02Start with Patient Records
Most Geriatrics clinics begin with Patient Records and Multi-morbidity Problem List, then add Medication Review and Functional & Cognitive Assessment once the team is comfortable. Appointments, prescriptions, GST billing and follow-up run on the same patient record throughout. For the full geriatrics examination, documentation and patient journey, see Yuktii for geriatrics.
03What the Geriatrics examination records
The structured geriatric assessment has 7 sections: General & Frailty, Functional Status, Falls & Balance, Cognition & Mood, Medication Review, Nutrition & Social and Systemic Examination. Findings are picked from lists or typed in, and are saved on the visit record. Some sections record specific fields, for example general & frailty (frailty, signs and gait speed / grip), functional status (basic adl, iadl, mobility and continence) and falls & balance (falls (past year), balance and risk factors).
04What is ready when you enable Geriatrics
When a clinic enables geriatrics in Yuktii, the app creates a structured geriatric assessment module, 86 quick-pick presets for complaints, examination findings and diagnoses, 8 prescription templates and 20 medicines. All of it is editable, so you can rename, remove or add to it to match how your clinic works. The presets speed up documentation; the clinician decides what is recorded and prescribed.
05Examples from the Geriatrics presets
Complaints you can pick from include Joint pain, Fatigue, Memory problems, Dizziness, Falls and Difficulty walking. Examination findings include Reduced mobility, Gait instability, Cognitive impairment signs, Pallor and Pedal edema. Diagnosis labels include Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Hypertension, Type 2 diabetes mellitus and Mild cognitive impairment. These are starting labels to speed up note-taking, not clinical advice.
06Geriatrics prescription templates
The starter templates are Geriatric Joint Pain, Hypertension Stage 1, Type 2 Diabetes — Elderly Standard, Osteoporosis, Iron Deficiency Anemia, Constipation, Vitamin B12 Deficiency and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Each is a pre-filled list the doctor edits before issuing, and the finished prescription can be downloaded as a PDF or sent on WhatsApp.
07Try it on real Geriatrics patients
The first 20 patients are free with the full Geriatrics workflow and no credit card, so you can run a genuine week of clinic before deciding. Solo then starts from ₹799/month and Pro from ₹1,499/month, depending on your specialty.
08Frailty, function and falls
The geriatric assessment records frailty (robust to severely frail), gait speed and grip, basic and instrumental ADL, mobility, continence, falls in the past year, balance and fall risk factors.
09Cognition, mood and medicines
Cognition and mood have options with a field for MMSE, MoCA or GDS scores, and the medication review records polypharmacy, high-risk medicines and the number of medicines, with nutrition and social circumstances alongside.
