Low stock answers what to reorder this week. Out of stock answers what is blocking work today. Expiring answers what to use first or write off. Keeping them separate stops an urgent shortage from being buried in one long list.
A practical starting routine
Start with the items whose absence would stop a procedure, enter their current quantity and expiry, and add the rest gradually. A small, accurate list is more useful than a large one nobody updates.
